Adventure parties

Kids love to be kids and enjoy running around outdoors and being active.  Why not consider an Adventure type party for their next birthday?  Kids will have a blast, burn off their excess energy making their parents happy too!!  A win win! 🙂

I had fun researching what was out there and I’m sure you will be delighted to have some unique options for your child’s next birthday party.

Boot Camp SA is based in Tokai Forest, and the venue has a typical military style obstacle course which is ideal for kids commando parties. Kids must be six years or older and will experience war cries, camo face paint, forest missions, pushups… (

Gumboot Parties is situated on a family run farm in Durbanville. There children can experience farm life, riding on tractors, feeding animals and collecting eggs.  Also available are pony rides, foefy slide, tug o’ war, tarzan swing, sling shot, dam activities and more…. and if you want to be more adventurous, plan a sleepover camping party under the stars (or bring your tents). (

On another farm set in Somerset West is Major Mongoose Adventures.  Here kids can enjoy an obstacle course along a flowing river with challenges such as foefy sliding, river jumping, tree climbing, etc.  A treasure hunt in a forest of palms as well as quad biking is also available. (

Sunscene Outdoor Adventures is another company providing excellent ideas for adventure children’s parties.  They have three options on offer. First is an adventure course with cargo nets, climbing wall, suspension bridge, etc. Second is sandboarding for kids seven years and older where instructors will teach the kids and supervise them while on the dunes. Third is fully instructed and supervised surfing at Muizenberg. Kids will have a blast! (

If you don’t want to venture out to a party venue, you could always try set up an adventure party at home with the help of Cre8tive Kids.  They have some exciting ideas for Survivor, Amazing Race, Fear Factor parties that will be a great source of fun and adventure for the little ones.  (
