Transport party for a 2 year old

This year for my son’s birthday we had a Transport Party.  He is mad about all forms of transport and is even starting to name brands of cars he sees driving on the road: everything from Mini Cooper, BMW, Jeep, VW Polo, etc!!!  I guess it is a boy thing as we never had this with our daughter at that age.  So the party theme was easy to come up with and with the help of Pinterest we had fun creating a great party!

We tried to keep the colours to red, blue and white with the decor and re-used his bedroom bunting to add the final touch to the decor.

For entertainment we hired Kiddie Rides: a plane, a racing car and a train. What a hit!!!  They arrived on the Friday and were collected on the Monday so a full weekend of entertainment.

We also had our lovely balloon modeller Anita join is, and her quick making of balloon characters ensured all kids had at least 2 creations.

Our boy loved his cake, a tractor, with red velvet cake inside. We also had fun with creating the other food – jelly boats, teddy bear cars, road signs with marshmallows

And a fun ending to the party with a bubble blowing machine.
